2022 update | One concert anticipated for summer 2022
Series hopes to return in 2023, under the direction of TACAW
Over the past few years the traditional Chamber Wednesday Night Concert series has gone through several iterations. In 2019 the chamber partnered with TACAW (The Arts Campus At Willits) for concert production and bookings. As a result, the quality of the concerts and the acts performing increased greatly and more people attended.
During the summers of 2020 and 2021, it was necessary to pivot to a safer, disbursed entertainment alternative named Wednesday Night Live. Now with its new performing arts center and robust programming, TACAW is taking on the mantle for the concert series, adding its own twist to future iterations.
For 2022 TACAW is working with the Town of Basalt on the potential for a single summer concert, in part due to several ongoing construction projects around town. Watch TACAW’s calendar for details and other upcoming outdoor summer concert events.
In 2023, anticipating the completion of the Basalt River Park – and with it a new bandshell – TACAW hopes to revive the concert series in its own way!
Any booking inquiries should be directed to Kendall Smith, TACAW’s Director of Programming.
2020 & 2021 | Wednesday Night Live – a COVID-safe alternative
A long-standing Basalt tradition, the Basalt Chamber of Commerce’s Summer Concert Series showcased a wide variety of musical genres with performances across town for over a decade. In 2020, the Summer Concert Series evolved into Wednesday Night Live – which allowed the Chamber the opportunity to partner with TACAW to provide live entertainment all across town. It went so well that this approach was repeated in 2021.
