The Basalt Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly skilled and experienced independent contractor (1099) to provide comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting services. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the Chamber’s mission. We are seeking a reliable and proactive individual to join our team in a quasi-staff capacity and contribute to our ongoing success. The prior contractor in this role was a consistent part of our organization from 2017-2024, and we are looking for a similar long-term partner.

Website Redesign RFP | Deadline August 18, 2025
The Basalt Chamber of Commerce is seeking a qualified and experienced website design and development agency to redesign and rebuild our website, basaltchamber.org. Our current website was launched in 2018, and no longer meets the evolving needs of our members and the community. We require a modern, user-friendly, responsive website that accurately reflects our brand while effectively communicating our mission and services, as well as visitor information.
We are looking for a partner who can not only deliver a visually appealing and functional website but also provide ongoing support and ensure the site remains current with emerging technologies, website trends, and accessibility standards. Our intent is to work with someone that really *gets* the chamber, and will partner with us to ensure a positive web experience for each of our user types, which ultimately makes the organization stronger. The chamber has an incredibly collaborative environment, and this role will be encouraged to provide honest feedback and creative ideas on improvements and opportunities for efficiency after the new website is delivered. The chamber seeks a website vendor and long-term partner – this is not a set-it-and-forget-it project.

Brand Standards RFP
The Basalt Chamber of Commerce invites the submission of proposals for a design partner/provider to develop brand standards for the new Basalt destination logo. If this RFP is not a right fit for your organization, but you know of another, please feel free to forward this page to a potential candidate.
The deadline is February 10, 2020 at 5 p.m. MST.* The projected date for contract commencement is before the end of February 2020.
*The goal of this RFP process is to find a suitable firm to help us take Basalt (and the Chamber’s) brand to the next level. We recognize that the time frame is tight, however responses will serve as a starting point for a greater design conversation. Thank you in advance for considering this project.
Full disclosure – Our Executive Director has extensive graphic design and marketing experience, and is currently behind most of the marketing, advertising and design that comes out of the Chamber. As a result, she will likely understand more than your average client.
