Glenwood Springs, Colorado – May 13, 2022 – Chambers of commerce in the Roaring Fork and Colorado River Valleys including Aspen Chamber Resort Association, Basalt Chamber of Commerce, Carbondale Chamber of Commerce, Colorado River Valley Chamber and Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association are proud to join the Mountain Chamber Alliance (MCA), a partnership across the central Rockies region that also includes Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce, Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce, Grand Lake Chamber of Commerce, Gunnison Chamber of Commerce, Gypsum Chamber of Commerce, Salida Chamber of Commerce, Steamboat Springs Chamber, Summit Chamber of Commerce and Vail Valley Partnership.

The organization was created to help advance public policy goals that enhance economic vitality and oppose those that negatively impact the communities and businesses across the mountain region.

“A regional collaboration allows us to better represent local business needs on a state level,” said ACRA President & CEO, Debbie Braun. “Counties across the central Rockies are facing similar challenges, and working collaboratively to support our communities makes all of us stronger.”

The mission of the MCA is to apply the collaborative impact of the chambers of commerce across the central Rockies, including the thousands of businesses and employees they represent, to ensure the mountain communities have a voice on regional and state issues of importance.

The MCA has identified key priority items that are common themes impacting the mountain region. These include workforce housing, transportation, early childcare, tourism funding and destination management, short term rentals, workforce development, broadband, and healthcare.

“We are excited to collaborate with our fellow chambers of commerce in the mountain region, as we all work to solve similar challenges. By working together, we can share ideas and resources, and ultimately amplify the voice of our businesses and communities,” shared Angie Anderson, MCA Chair and Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association President & CEO.
