Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) is a nonprofit environmental education center. Since 1968, ACES has inspired a life-long commitment to the earth by providing innovative and immersive programming for all ages. We have three locations: Hallam Lake, Rock Bottom Ranch, and Catto Center at Toklat. Our programs focus on ecological literacy, regenerative agriculture, forest and ecosystem health, land restoration, and environmental leadership.

Summit for Life | Register
Summit for Life (S4L) is the biggest annual awareness and fundraising event for the Chris Klug Foundation (CKF), featuring a challenging nighttime uphill race up Aspen Mountain where hundreds of participants skin, snowshoe, run, or hike 3,267 feet from Gondola Plaza to the Sundeck. Following the race, participants are invited to a celebration with dinner, live music, and an awards ceremony, after which they can enjoy the spectacular night views during the gondola ride back down, those who prefer to skip the climb can register for the Ride for Life gondola option. The event’s mission is to raise awareness for organ, eye, and tissue donation and help the over 103,000 Americans awaiting a transplant, and participants are encouraged to sign up early, as registration sells out, and raise the minimum $100 for a t-shirt and swag, with additional prizes for top fundraisers.
